FAQs about One-Touch Spindle Locks
When the knob is turned to the locked position, the built-in clamping components grip and clamp the shaft.
The product is designed to grip the shaft around its full circumference, providing high holding torque and high sliding load capacity.
Durability testing is conducted under no-load conditions by repeatedly locking and unlocking the product.

This product is not intended for use in high- or low-temperature environments, so no heat-resistant temperature is specified.
We recommend using the product at normal ambient temperature, as defined by Japanese Industrial Standards: 20°C ±15°C.
Note that the clearance between the body bore and an h7 shaft is small. During installation, ensure that the mounting surface is perpendicular to the shaft and keep runout between the bore and the shaft to a minimum.
Reference values for perpendicularity and runout
- Perpendicularity of the mounting surface relative to the shaft: within 0.05 mm
- Runout between the bore and the shaft: within 0.1 mm
Please use the product with the above values as installation guidelines.
If a shaft outside the recommended tolerance is used, the holding force may be significantly reduced, or the shaft may not lock properly. Be sure to verify suitability with the actual shaft before use.
For reference, with an f8 shaft, the holding force is approximately 50% to 70% of that with the recommended h7 shaft.
Please note that shafts with a positive diameter tolerance cannot be used.
If the shaft has a D-cut or keyway, use the product in a position where it does not contact the D-cut or groove area. Please refer to the illustration below.
